1. WIRE ROD PREPARATION
The treatment phase involves the application of a lubricant to the steel wire rod so as to improve the passage of the wire in the cold forming machine.
2. COLD FORMING
In the cold forming or forging phase the essential shape of the bolt is the result of several steps. All the cold moulding steps are obtained using the moulds made within the company. After cold forming, the threading is created.
After cold forging, the product passes through the threading process. It can be done by cold rolling or by cutting with a tapping tool.
The default strength of the bolts and their ductility are obtained through a heat treatment. An accurate tempering and quenching process, gives the level of resistance and hardness to satisfy the customer’s request.
After careful mechanical cleaning, the product finished, an operation that protects the bolt from corrosion. This finish can also confer specific levels of friction.Two essential finishing processes are Phosphate treatment and Geomet.
6. QUALITY CONTROL
Once these processes are completed, a precise quality control process is carried out relating to threading, structure, dimensions and shape.
The fasteners are packaged in a wide range of solutions based on the specific needs of the customer.
